It all began at the Coastal Grand Mall—Malik was 16, Jayda was 14, and neither of us knew that a simple meeting would turn into a lifelong love. From that moment, we felt an instant connection and started talking soon after. Born and raised in South Carolina, we came from two different corners of the state—Malik from the quiet town of Nesmith, and Jayda from the sunny shores of Surfside Beach. Despite the distance, we grew up together. From high school days to adulthood, we’ve been by each other’s side for 11 amazing years. In June 2024, Malik planned a dreamy proposal in Cancun, Mexico. With the ocean as our backdrop and a private gazebo dinner set under the stars, he got down on one knee—and Jayda said yes! Now, we’re so excited to take the next step and officially join our lives as one. We can’t wait to celebrate our love with all of you and start building the future we’ve always dreamed of—together.
