Keith and Malia were introduced to each other by Keith's cousin, Chris. Malia and Chris had been good friends for many years, both growing up in the Fountain, CO area. When Keith moved to Colorado in 2012, Chris got them in touch with each other on Facebook. Once they started talking for a bit to get to know one another, they both realized how much they liked each other's vibe. Malia invited Keith to her sister Lani's house to hang out on a random Friday night. Malia was in her pajamas with no make-up on and hair in a bun the first time they met. Keith accepted her just as she was with no hesitation. He met her family that same night. They all had so much fun playing games and watching movies. From that day on, it was a wrap. The chemistry between them was undeniable from the very first "hello" and they have been inseparable ever since.

A couple days after they celebrated 10 years together, Keith proposed to Malia on a beautiful Colorado day, April 2nd, 2022 at Red Rock Canyon Open Space and it was WELL worth the wait! With the help of his lovely Aunt Charlotte and Malia's Sister Lani, nephews Joshua and Isaac and niece Iliana, they set up a BEAUTIFUL picnic area for the occasion. Keith made sure the most important people in Malia's life were there, including her grandparents, who she is incredibly close with. When he dropped to one knee, neither of them could hold back the tears and could hardly get the words out that they wanted to say... but of course, the answer was YES!
