Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We addressed the invitation to the people we would love to come and share our day with. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests who were formally invited to our wedding on your wedding invitation. If you have questions about this please ask the bride or groom.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your kids, we really do! But our venue isn't very large, so we are trying to limit the number of people in attendance. We ask that only the people that the invite is addressed to attend. Additionally, think of it as a parent's night out! Get fancy and enjoy a date with your babe!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire or semi-formal attire. Please, no jeans. Please, refrain from wearing white. The ceremony will be held outside on astroturf, so it's pretty flat. There will be lawn games outside after the ceremony, so I would bring a jacket and shoes that you find comfortable.

Question

What is parking like?

Answer

There is plenty of parking on-site and an overflow parking lot as well. The parking lot is gravel, so if you have people that find it hard to walk for a longer period of time OR need assistance you can drop them off under the covered concrete parking area at the main entrance to the lodge. There is handicap parking to the RIGHT of the main entrance.

Question

Can I take photos?

Answer

It is very important to us that you are present and fully in the moment with us during our ceremony. We have paid a photographer and videographer a substantial amount of money to capture our day and I can guarantee you that they will do a better job than your iPhone. Please keep your phones and cameras off and stowed until after the ceremony. If you do take photos after the ceremony and post them, tag us and put #ChrisandMaleah so we can see them!

Question

Can I get an Uber or a Lyft?

Answer

Yes! Ilani Casino is just across the freeway about 10 minutes away from Summit Grove Lodge, so Uber and Lyft drivers are often in the areas especially on a Saturday night. It might take a few extra minutes for them to get there, but they are available.

Question

What if I leave my car overnight?

Answer

Please feel free to leave your car parked overnight. It will NOT be towed. We want you to have fun and have a few drinks! But, we would much rather you be responsible and not drive if you've had too much to drink or are too tired. We can help arrange a ride back home or to your destination that is safe and help you get back to your vehicle in the morning.

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

Our food will be served buffet style, so only eat what you are comfortable eating. You may also ask the staff about what's in the food. Chris and I, both can't eat dairy and we found many yummy options to eat.

Question

Is the wedding inside or outside?

Answer

*Weather permitting* *fingers crossed!* The ceremony will take place outside and the reception will be inside (with air conditioning).

Question

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

There is a designated smoking area to the right of the entrance of the building near the handicap parking. This can be used for cigars, cigarettes, vapes and e-cigs. Summit Grove Lodge asks that you not smoke marijuana.
