not long ago… Before this fairytale became a reality… A young gentleman yearning for the love of this beautiful young lady. He took out the time to show her that she was worth more than an occasional “I love you.” As most fairytales go, there are always unpredictable events that lead to a happy ending. The two of them met in 2014 when Mariah started back working at IHOP overnight as she finished her last semesters at Southern University A & M College. Malachi was a regular that came in every night after he got off from his airport job. From there, they became good friends. The two went on a Spring Break trip as friends to Orange Beach, AL in the Spring of 2015. It was on that trip where Malachi knew there was something there. Mariah was unsure and really scared to love again. Malachi knew what she had endured in the past and made it his ultimate goal to repair the broken pieces to her heart. During this process, it caused him to fall for her before he expected to. Leading to him having to unlock her heart and allow him in. One thing about true love is that reality will always supersede dreams. “Dreams are just goals with a deadline.” – Napoleon Hill In 2015, Malachi’s dream became a goal and he knew he wanted to love Mariah forever. The Love Story Chemistry is defined as the complex emotional or psychological interaction between two people. Between those key things love was enhanced. He fell in love with her first, causing him to want her even more over time. During that time, Mariah began to fall and she realized this man wanted to love her through her flaws and all. She stood by him through it all, the good, the bad, and the ugly. He took out the time to understand her in a better light. Being that they come from two completely different worlds, the opposites and the similarities attracted them to each other.

In the midst of a global pandemic…after his original plans fell through, he executed the perfect proposal after accepting a new job in Las Vegas, NV. What Mariah thought was a surprise “Going Away” Party for Malachi turned out to be a night that changed her life forever. In the middle of one of their favorite card games (UNO) just as she thought that he was about to make her draw a lot of cards, he asked for her hand in marriage. After the proposal, Malachi moved back to Las Vegas to start a new career and this began one of the toughest challenges this couple ever had to face. Long-distance relationship. It was not easy for the two of them but they endured. Even when tragedy came about, the two still stood by each other’s side, near and far. Malachi and Mariah have learned a lot from each other and are still learning every day. They are ready to grow in the Lord as a couple and raise a family together. Their love is everlasting and their bond unbreakable. They have experienced a couple of firsts and now they want a couple of forevers. On April 23, 2022, they will live… as Hays’ ….Happily Ever After.
