It had to start somewhere...
And as many modern romances do, our story started on the good ol' Interweb. Koda was in town for meetings in Calgary, and happened across a profile of a devilishly handsome oddball named Matt. Despite neither of them searching for a relationship and regularly forgetting to reply to messages, they chatted for weeks before Koda made a special trip back to the city for an official first date.
From province-wide moves and hilariously dangerous hot air balloon rides, to global adventures together and manic meet-the-families, the two settled nicely into an accidental, yet exhilarating, life together.
Flash forward to February of 2023, when Matt bent on one knee after a successful city-wide scavenger hunt. These two lovebirds will be wed in San Gregorio da Sassola in the old medieval fortress-turned-subtle homestead, Castello Brancaccio, before exploring old Italy on their honeymoon.
And the rest is history... or we suppose, the rest is the rest of our lives.
