It's happening... We're getting Married!

OKCupid A matchmaking website which offers a vast selection of personality tests and methods by which to choose a friend/penpal/and-or romantic partner. --------------------------------------------------- Our Story Keith and Makita matched on OKCupid. Makita captivated by Keith’s hiking picture and his statement “… he’s a mad scientist in the kitchen…”. Keith captivated by Makita’s smile and travel destination pictures. Hit by the arrow. We began talking back and forth, sharing our interests, and favorite foods. Only to discover we are both taco afficionados :). From there Keith suggested our first date at local Tex-Mex spot, Gringo A Go Go. The date went so well we ended up staying until the place closed that evening. Silly Keith thinking the date was over, as it was late in the evening, Makita wanted to keep it going and we ended up at Carolina Ale House. We ordered drinks and the conversation continued to flow. We started talking about travel destinations only to be surprised Makita has never been to the Outer Banks. We both agreed to make it happen in the future. Jump forward a few months... Keith planned the Outer Banks trip. Our first trip together as a couple, talk about an experience... this is where we both knew that we had something special. The ease and depth of our conservations was like nothing else we experienced in our lives. We shared our life goals, interest, and fears. While we only knew each other for a few months the connection we experienced there was like we knew each other for years. 2020 Brought on many changes to the world. We survived the covid years and moved in together. 2022 we both suffered unexpected loses and shared each other’s pain. We were able to become closer and more committed than ever. Continuing to grow and bond with our shared love of outdoors, cultures and all things financial. Our true shared passion can be found in the kitchen. We continued to grow in many aspects and one of those is cooking. We've expanded our cooking knowledge, equipment, and techniques together. There's not a limit to the type of cuisines we've cooked. No matter some of the challenges we've experienced in the kitchen together we were able to overcome them or at least try. Here we are 4+ years later… really can't ask for more in a relationship: we are stronger than ever, best friends, laughing, and ready to share a life journey together. #ForeverAndMcCrae
