We met at a leadership training for our Life Group at Westside Baptist Church in Gainesville, FL where we both attend. It wasn't until a couple of days later while sitting outside of a local coffee shop when we had our first real conversation. I yelled Brycen's name when I saw him crossing the street and I am pretty sure he had no idea who I was. But he came back a few minutes later and we had a long conversation over our mutual love for the Lord, coffee, and classes online, which then budded a wonderful friendship that eventually turned into the best relationship. Oh, and not to mention, he created a powerpoint about why Chick-fil-A sauce is much better than honey mustard. I'm still not convinced.

As our relationship grew deeper, marriage became a frequent topic of conversation and we both knew that it was where the Lord was leading us. We got engaged right outside the place where we had our first long conversation and have spent many afternoons together since. The evening was followed by some of our favorite things; sushi, coffee, and Christmas lights.
