FAQs

Question

Can I bring my kid(s) to the wedding?

Answer

While we love all the children in our lives, we would love for our parent friends to spend the night celebrating without any other responsibilities. We would like to reserve the ceremony and reception to just adults. Please reach out with any questions or concerns (Exceptions may be able to be accommodated for babies in arms). Note: If you are planning to attend either the Saturday gathering or the rehearsal dinner, children of all ages are very welcome!

Question

Can you help me find child care in Atlanta?

Answer

YES! Laura is working to compile a list of validated babysitters recommended by friends in the area. Please feel free to connect with Laura to help figure that out (can send # of children and ages, and any other considerations you might have to help guide discussions)

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We would like to keep things Formal to Semi-Formal, as we love the opportunity to show up and show off. That being said, we want people to come as you are if that is more comfortable. We would love it if you leaned into the spring theme and wear floral, spring colors, or maybe even a seersucker suit (if you want bonus points with the Groom). Spring in Atlanta should be a pleasant time temperature wise, not to warm or cold, but it MIGHT get humid. Things like hair ties, chafing protection (if you know you know), a comfy pair of shoes, etc. can really help combat that as the night goes on. The sun should be low by the time things get going, but please still wear sun protection if you need for the ceremony as it will likely be outside (unless rain prevents this).

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved some hotel blocks and also shown some recommended areas to stay on the Travel page. Please consult there first. If you still have questions, or want to confirm a neighborhood or spot, please feel free to reach out to Laura or Brian. Atlanta can change quickly by street and neighborhood. We want you to have the best time possible and if confirming your lodging location with us will give some peace of mind, PLEASE do not hesitate to reach out!

Question

Who else will I know there?

Answer

Feel free to reach out to the bride and groom to see about other mutual friends, in case you want to strategically coordinate with friends!

Question

Should I rent a car, Use public transit, or rideshares like Ubers?

Answer

This will depend on the size of your party, where you are staying, and how comfortable you are navigating transportation systems. MARTA works very well at getting you to the places it goes, however it's scope is limited. Brian and Laura like to use MARTA to get to and from the airport as that can be much easier than getting to the rideshare stop. If you are staying within the recommended area of the city, a combination of MARTA and Uber might be a great option for you (or supplement with rental bikes or scooters). If your family size is large or want the ease of driving, Atlanta is a very car centered city. Parking is usually available (though usually at a cost), please note that traffic can be difficult depending on the time of day and day of week, particularly on the highways!
