Who is invited?

Answer

Please refer to the names listed on your invitation envelope. If your invitation is addressed to "The Smith Family," the entire family is invited to celebrate with us. If your invitation is addressed to "John Smith & Guest," you are welcome to bring a guest. If you choose not to bring a guest, simply RSVP for yourself—we're excited to celebrate with you either way!

Will children be attending the wedding?

While we absolutely love your little ones, we have decided to make our ceremony and reception adults-only. We appreciate your understanding and hope you'll enjoy a relaxing evening celebrating with us!

What if I'm traveling with my children?

Answer

You're more than welcome to bring your child(ren) with you while traveling! There are plenty of family-friendly activities to enjoy in and around Chardon, Ohio. For the ceremony and reception, we kindly ask that you arrange childcare. Black Tie Optional / Formal Ladies: There is a small walk from the ceremony to the reception space.

September in Ohio is lovely, but it can get chilly once the sun goes down, so a light wrap is recommended.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Ceremony is outdoors Cocktail hour is outdoor and indoors Reception is mainly indoors with an outdoor option

Is there a shuttle to the hotel?

Answer

Yes, if you book a room at either The Lodge at Bass Lake or Punderson Manor Lodge, transportation will be provided to and from the wedding venue.

Yes, Basil Place does have a parking lot for those who drive and transportation will also be provided.

What time should I arrive?

Guests should arrive 15–20 minutes before the ceremony start time to grab a seat and enjoy the music.

We prefer an unplugged ceremony. We’ve hired a pro to handle the photos—we’d love for you to just be present with us.
