This is one of the main tour companies in town! They have a horse drawn carriage tour, golf, and multiple ATV tours! If you're staying at the Denali Aurora Lodge you get 10% off of their tours.
Some of the hiking trails in the area both in and outside of the park are as follows: -Mount Healy Overlook Trail -Horseshoe Lake Trail -Savage River Loop Trail
Otto Lake is a cute place to stop by in the Healy area. It is a great place for photos and to take in the vastness of the scenery in Alaska! This is also where we will be having our ceremony!
This is such a fun thing to do! Twice a day the national park has a FREE shuttle that goes to their sled dog kennels. They do a free demonstration for you and you get to see all of the puppies! It is a very informative demonstration where you get to learn the history and modern day use of sled dogs.
We have spent a lot of time in Denali Square! Old Sourdough Studios, the shop I work at, is located here! We would love if you stopped by and enjoyed a drink and sat around the bonfire. The square is located down the hill at the McKinley Chalet property. Note that you do not have to be staying at the property to visit! They have live music every night and you can enjoy the couple shops and artist in residence building. They also have the Music of Denali here, which is a dinner and show.
The best way to see Alaska is in the air! Last year I was able to take a tour with Denali Air and got some of the best photos I've ever taken. This is a pretty pricey tour, but if you have the extra money it is totally worth it!
