Unfortunately, our venue only holds 45 people; so we cannot accommodate plus ones at our reception. However, if you want to bring someone with you to Alaska that is totally okay! Like we said we want this to be an experience for our friends and family so we totally understand bringing a travel companion with you to experience Alaska with.
We’d love to see our guests dress up in a way that feels whimsical, romantic, and a little magical—think cottagecore, Lord of the Rings, and Hobbit vibes. Flowy dresses, vintage-inspired outfits, earthy textures, and fall colors (deep greens, warm browns, burnt oranges, soft creams) are perfect. Since the wedding is outdoors, comfortable footwear (boots, flats, or sturdy heels) is recommended. If you're unsure, a classic fall-inspired outfit or small whimsical touches like lace, florals, or vintage accessories will fit right in!
All hotel and other travel recommendations are listed under the "Travel" tab.
We have a tab here on the wedding website with our registry. We are registered on Amazon!
Since most people will have to rent a car we will be carpooling from the hotels to the ceremony and reception.
Yes, there is clear parking for both the ceremony and reception! Otto Lake has parking right in front of the lake so it is very accessible. The reception is a 5 minute drive from the lake and is a hotel with a parking lot.
The ceremony will start at 3:30pm. You can arrive about 15-30 minutes early if you would like.
This is totally up to you! We really want this to be a vacation and fun experience for our friends and family so if you would like to come earlier and or stay later, go for it!
Our wedding is at the end of August which means you may actually get the chance to see the northern lights! Especially being in Healy/Denali there is little light pollution making them more vibrant.
You will most likely moose during your stay. They tend to hangout around the sides of the road. Please do not approach or chase the moose! If you go into the National Park you may see a bear as well. Sometimes there are bear sightings in town so always just be cautious and respectful of the wildlife.
