Is there a dress code?
Answer
Relaxed Semi-Formal. The reception will be held inside so no need to bundle up too much, however there will be fire pits going outside so if you wish to socialize outside then don't forget to bring your puffy coat.

How do I get from the Anchorage airport to Girdwood?
Answer
We recommend getting a rental car, this provides the most flexibility on how you would like to get around while visiting for the wedding.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Yes! If you would like to stay at a hotel, we recommend the Alyeska Resort in Girdwood. More details can be found on the Travel tab.

Yes, there is self-parking at the reception venue.

What transit options are in Girdwood?
Answer
Girdwood does not have taxis, Ubers, or Lyfts. There is free parking around town, including at the reception location and the Alyeska hotel for hotel guests. Will there be an open bar?
Answer
Yes, the reception venue is providing unlimited beer and wine as well as a wine based cocktail. We will also have a spiked hot chocolate bar. Our venue does not however allow for any hard alcohol/liquor. There will also be non-alcoholic beverage options available.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The reception will be held primarily indoors with fire pits outside that can be used by all guests.

Why does my invite say wedding reception and not wedding ceremony?
Answer
Due to the constraints of our ceremony venue, we are having a very small private ceremony earlier in the day for our close family members and wedding party only. Don't worry though you will get to hear speeches from both Patrick and Makenna at the reception.

Will my flight get cancelled if it is snowing in Anchorage?
Answer
No, generally flights are only cancelled or diverted because of weather if the winds are too strong to land which is uncommon.
