PDX, the largest airport in Oregon, will be the easiest airport to get in and out of or rent a car to Hood River. Other airports if you are looking for a larger vacation experience include Redmond/Bend and Eugene.

How to Get to Hood River
We are recommending all of our guests stay in or around beautiful Hood River. This quaint town is only a short drive to the venue and provides the most to do and see nearby with plenty of lodging available. The best way to get to Hood River is by bus or rental car. If opting to take the bus, you will need to take the MAX Red Line from PDX or downtown to the Gateway Transit Center to get onto the Columbia Gorge Express bus. This trip from PDX to the CAT Transit Center in Hood River takes approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes. Choosing this option is of course the cheaper option and may limit you to travelling around Hood River, but will not limit you getting to and from the wedding as we will have transportation provided for those who need it! Driving by rental car offers more opportunities to explore the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and is recommended for guests who are planning on making a larger vacation out of our wedding. PDX to Hood River is an approximately 56-minute drive. For our out-of-state friends: to save costs and limit parking needed, we highly recommend sharing a rental car if you are able to coordinate with others.
Shuttle
Shuttle from Downtown Hood River to and from Ceremony/Reception
July 6, 2025 3:00 pm - 10:15 pm
A shuttle will be provided for guests, with pick up and drop off in downtown Hood River (in front of the Hood River Hotel). Guests will be picked up at 3 pm sharp and departing after the end of the reception at approximately 10 pm. The shuttle takes approximately 22 minutes. Those who wish to drive separately have the option to do so. The venue owner kindly asks that those who are not sober enough to drive leave their cars overnight and take the shuttle home. The drive between Hood River and Mt. Hood is dark at night so please plan accordingly!
