Things To Do

Carpinteria holds such a special place in our hearts. It’s where Jesse met Makena’s family for the very first time, where we shared our first kiss, and where we stayed the weekend we got engaged! We’re so excited to celebrate here with all of you and to share this meaningful place with our favorite people. We’ve put together a list of some of our favorite spots around town—perfect for breakfast, lunch, or just hanging out for a drink and enjoying the area. We hope you love it as much as we do!

The Spot

389 Linden Avenue, Carpinteria, CA 93013

A favorite spot for burgers and milkshakes! Take your meal across the street to the park or down to the beach and enjoy it with a beautiful sunset view.

Island Brewing Company

5049 6th Street, Carpinteria, CA 93013

This brewery is a local favorite! Overlooking the beach (and the occasional train passing by), Island Brewing Company offers a wide selection of beers and seltzers. While Jesse says it’s not quite the same as a classic Coors Light, it’s still a great place to hang out and relax. The brewery is both family- and dog-friendly, making it perfect for everyone. You can order food to be delivered there, and on special occasions, awesome food trucks stop by. Most nights, you can also catch live music!

Rusty's Pizza Parlor

5250 Carpinteria Avenue, Carpinteria, CA 93013

Makena’s go-to spot for pizza in Carpinteria! Their cheese bread is seriously the best thing ever — don’t skip it! However she may be biased!

Esau's Cafe

507 Linden Avenue, Carpinteria, CA 93013

Esau’s Café is a great spot for breakfast! They have a wonderful menu, and their pancakes are some of the best we’ve ever had.

Tomol interpretive play area playground

389 Linden Avenue, Carpinteria, CA 93013

This is a great spot to take the kids if they need a few minutes to run around and burn off some energy! The playground is right across the street from The Spot and in front of the brewery. However, there is a railroad between the two, so it’s not possible to watch the kids play from the brewery while enjoying a drink.
