January 2024 was an exciting time for both Makayla and Payton, as they were moving down to Walt Disney World to live and work in the happiest place on earth! In an attempt to make friends prior to moving, both decided to post on a get-to-know-you page for new participants. Makayla happened to see Payton's post, thought he was cute, and decided to reach out. As they started texting and getting to know each other more, they were both excited to get to officially meet. Once they did, they were inseparable! They spent the whole program exploring places in Florida, spending time in the Disney Parks, and having dinner at 11:30pm most nights. Once the program ended, they began long distance with Makayla back home in Kentucky and Payton in Colorado. With lots of visits, they continued to make memories and grow together. The best visit happened to be March 13th, 2025. Payton surprised Makayla and proposed to her surrounded by her family. Since then, Makayla has moved to Colorado, spending everyday with Payton, exploring Colorado and beginning their life together.
