Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

While we would love to celebrate with you, the RSVP deadline has passed and guestlists for the event have been submitted to the vendors. However, we would gladly celebrate with you sometime after the wedding - so don't be a stranger!

Question

What do I wear?

Answer

We prefer cocktail attire, but anything above jeans we are sure will be ok. The bride requests you refrain from wearing a wedding dress, but if that's really all you have to wear, she prefers that to you going naked.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We ask that you arrive to the location by3:45 pm! This should give you enough time to park, walk, and sit and enjoy the ceremony!

Question

What will be indoors and what will be outdoors?

Answer

Plan for a day under the open Northern California sky! There will also be a dance floor so be sure to wear - or bring - your dancing shoes!

Question

Is parking available?

Answer

Of course, but it is limited. So please carpool and pick a DD before you come! We will have a parking attendant (Hello George!) to help you out.

Question

Can I bring my kiddos?

Answer

If they are on your RSVP page please bring them along - but note that we will have an open bar, a busy dance floor, and a late night that we hope you stay for! If you are still wanting to bring them along we do ask that if they do get fussy during the ceremony and the speeches that you kindly excuse yourself and your child as to not distract the other guests! Thank you :)

Question

What’s your wedding hashtag?

Answer

#DykstraWayWeLikeIt (uh huh uh huh)

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Hi - are you new here? Of course we have an open bar.

Question

Where do I stay?

Answer

Please check the accommodation page! We don’t have a hotel block but we do have a list of beautiful places to stay in Nevada City. We recommend making a weekend out of it and exploring the shops, restaurants, and sights of the grooms hometown.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony? I have to post it.

Answer

We kindly ask that the ceremony remains unplugged! We have a photographer who will ensure that the best photos are taken - and we don’t want them to be of your phone screen during the ceremony! But afterwards feel free to post, photograph, and live stream as much as you want!

For all the days along the way
