Yes, our wedding is black tie optional. This means long, floor length or midi dresses for the ladies, and suit+tie or tuxes for men. We can't wait to see everyone looking their best!
There will be a 3 hour gap between the ceremony and reception. If you are not a part of the wedding party, we encourage you to spend the time relaxing at the hotel, grabbing a drink or bite to eat at a local restaurant, or exploring Lake Forest! The main downtown strip is just about a 10 minute walk from the church. As a reminder, we are providing transportation to/from the reception from the Hilton Garden Inn and the Residence Inn Marriott. Please check out the "Things To Do" tab for more recommendations.
If you've received a plus one, it will be addressed on your invitation. Due to venue capacity, we can only accommodate those formally listed.
We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration aside from our flower girl and ring bearer. Thank you for understanding! We hope you can enjoy a night off with us.
Thank you so much for thinking of us! You can view our connected registry under our "Registry" tab. We will send out formal invitations as we get closer to the date. Please follow the instructions on these invitations to RSVP.
Yes, both locations have onsite parking. If you are staying at Hilton Garden Inn Lake Forest Mettawa or the Residence Inn by Marriott Chicago Lake Forest/Mettawa, there is a shuttle provided to and from the reception. There are no shuttles provided for the ceremony, so please plan accordingly! Uber and Lyft are also great options for traveling around Lake Forest.
Most events will be indoors. Our cocktail hour will be indoor and outdoor however, so please dress accordingly! There will be heaters provided outdoors if it's chilly.
We ask that you please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We've hired an incredible team of photographers and videographers to capture the big moment!
