Marginal Way House

*Additional room block reserved at The Marginal Way House Hotel. This is the *sister* hotel to Terrace by the Sea. It's located on the same small side-street as Terrace by the Sea. The Marginal Way House is easily accessible to Terrace by the Sea, where the Wedding Ceremony and Cocktail Hour will be held. For the room block at The Marginal Way House, the availability, room types, and pricing are based on guest capacity, rooms with ocean views, etc. The Marginal Way House has both 2-night and 3-night minimums during the fall season, depending on which rooms requested. We have reserved room options with a 2-night minimum only for our wedding room block. Guests must call the office to reserve. Mention the "Quirk–Boggs Wedding" so you’re included in our room block. Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) -- Boston, MA - Large international airport with many domestic carriers and nonstop flights from most major U.S. cities. Best for: Guests flying from locations with lots of flight options (major hubs across the U.S.). Distance/Drive time: ~ 1.5 hours to Ogunquit, Maine (Terrace by the Sea Inn). Ground Transport Options: 1. Rental cars available onsite at Logan. 2. Ride-shares (Uber/Lyft), taxis, or airport shuttles. Good Option for: Groups traveling together, guests wanting flexibility in flight times, and those planning to fly in early to explore the Boston area and/or coastal Maine.

Portland International Jetport (PWM)

Portland International Jetport (PWM) -- Portland, ME - Smaller, easy to navigate airport with many domestic flights (on major carriers, like Delta, American, United, JetBlue, Southwest, etc.) Best for: Guests prioritizing closer proximity to Ogunquit, ME. Guests planning to remain in the southern coastal Maine area for the weekend. There are local trolleys and Amtrak trains available to explore surrounding areas such as Kennebunkport, Wells, York, and Portland. Distance/Drive time: ~ 40–45 minutes to Terrace by the Sea Inn (Ogunquit, ME). Ground transport options: Rental car options onsite of airport. Ride-shares (Uber/Lyft), taxis and local shuttles. Amtrak Train Good for: Guests who want a shorter drive or travel time after landing or are coming from cities that offer direct flights to Portland (PWM).

Amtrak Downeaster Train Information

Travel by Train via Amtrak Downeaster to Wedding Area: The Amtrak Downeaster Train runs between Boston, MA and Brunswick, ME, with stops including Portland and Wells, ME. It’s a scenic, relaxing way for guests to travel along the coast without renting a car! -- Take the Wells, ME stop. This is is the closest Amtrak train stop to the wedding area of Ogunquit, Maine. *From Boston to Wells by Amtrak Downeaster Train* - Departure: Boston North Station (not South Station; these trains leave from North Station near TD Garden). - Train: Amtrak Downeaster service - Frequency: About 4–5 direct trains each day. See website for times. - Travel Time: ~1 hour and 45 minutes train ride. - Schedule: Early morning through evening options (exact times vary daily). **If flying into Boston Logan Airport (BOS), plan about 20-30 minutes extra time (in case of traffic) to travel from the airport to North Station before train boarding/departure time. *From Portland to Wells, Maine by Amtrak Train* - Departure: Amtrak Downeaster departs from Portland Transportation Center, ME. - Airport to Portland Transpotation Center: ~ 10 minute Uber/Lyft/Taxi ride from the airport to train station. - Train: The same Amtrak Downeaster service as the Boston option, which continues southbound from Portland to Wells. - Travel Time: ~ 40–50 minutes from Portland to Wells (Wells is just a couple of stops down the line after the Saco stop). - Frequency: Multiple departures daily (See website schedule for times). *Wells Amtrak Station: Get off at the Wells Train stop. From the Wells Amtrak Station, guests can take (Uber/Lyft) or taxi to Ogunquit, which is approximately a 10–15 minute drive to Terrace by the Sea and surrounding area. This option is perfect for guests flying into Boston or Portland who want a car-free way to get to the coast!

Travel Tips: Car rental: Both airports have multiple rental agencies. If traveling in a group, you may consider booking in advance for better rates and availability. Ride services: Uber/Lyft operate from both airports, but availability may be more limited in Portland — plan ahead especially for early morning/late evening arrivals. Of note, there tends to be limited Ubers/Lyfts and/or longer wait times in the smaller towns of coastal Maine, like Wells, Ogunquit, Kennebunkport, etc. Shared shuttles: Regional shuttle services are available from both airports to Ogunquit, if you prefer not to rent a car. Overnight stays: If your flight arrives late in the evening or you plan to make a mini-trip out of it, you may think about staying a night in Portland or Boston and get a little chance to explore! We're happy to recommend areas to stay in if you're unfamiliar with these cities, just let us know! :) Hotel Room Blocks: 1.
