We hope you will join us in Portland for the full weekend, but we understand everyone has other parts of their life to live. You can stay in an AirBnB or house share in Portland or use our room block at the Westin. This has a two night minimum because Portland is still in tourist season (10/16-10/18). You are also welcome to stay at any other hotel in the area too. Please see travel section for our link. We just can't wait to see you!
For both the ceremony and reception, we would love to see everyone dress to impress! Suits, ties, dresses, and jumpsuits are all welcome! Our only suggestion is to make sure you bring some dancing shoes, because we hope to see you on the dance floor!
For anyone who knows us, we love spending time outdoors. We wanted to celebrate this love (and ours) with an outdoor ceremony at Portland Head Lighthouse located at Fort Williams. Fort Williams doesn't have a large enough ceremony space for all of our loved ones, so we decided to keep things small. We appreciate your understanding, and we can't wait to have everyone together for the celebration at Oxbow!
We live in New England, the weather can change at any time! For those attending the ceremony, we are going to try to have the ceremony outdoors in almost any weather. Please bring appropriate outerwear if that is the case. Please monitor the weather beforehand. If we have VERY inclement weather, we will transition the ceremony to Oxbow and everyone is welcome to join us! We will notify everyone via email if we need to change the ceremony plan about one week in advance.
As much as we love being everyone's favorite Aunt and Uncle, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception child free with the exception of a few family members. We want all adults present to be able to enjoy the night, responsibly, without worrying. We appreciate your understanding on this, and we hope that you can still join us!
We want everyone to have fun at our reception, but we ask that you only bring those that are listed on your invitation. We will be sending out invitations in June so more to come!
We will be providing a shuttle so please arrive promptly for your ride. We will provide more details about location and time, but the drive from Portland to Cape Elizabeth is around 30 minutes if we get stuck on the Casco Bay drawbridge, and we don't want anyone to be late (or stuck)!
We are still finalizing transportation logistics, but we will be providing a shuttle to and from the ceremony site at Fort Williams. Please keep an eye out for changes here!
Parking at Oxbow is extremely limited. You are welcome to pray to the parking gods, but we highly recommend using alternative transportation so you can enjoy the night safely. For those that may not be imbibing, there are also parking garages all over the city that are within a 10 minute walk. Portland is a very walkable city! Please see our travel tab for parking garage ideas if you do wish to drive there.
We will be sending out invitations in June and we will update this section then!
Yes! Please let us know of any food allergies or dietary restrictions when we send out invitations and we will work with our caterer to accommodate. We want everyone to eat well, and an allergic reaction is not on our bingo card for this event. There will be a section in our RSVP to list this, do not text or email it to us because we cannot keep track of it that way.
Yes! Please see our registry tab for the link. Please do no bring physical gifts to the reception, but we will provide a card box if you would like.
We will be doing an informal get together the night before the wedding after our rehearsal dinner. We will provide details here, anyone is welcome to stop in and say hello.
