We met in PT school as the only two regular rock climbers in the class. Sam and Steph enjoyed spending quality time together, but Steph had no idea that she had been on multiple dates already! They decided to go see a climbing movie, and she finally realized that this was a date. Luckily, she shared Sam's feelings and they have been adventure partners ever since! We have lived all over New England, gradually moving further north to chase winter. We finally settled in Maine in 2023, and have been exploring Portland area ever since. We can't wait to share the state we love with all of you!

Sam finally proposed to Steph when they went on a late fall hike to Mt. Garfield, New Hampshire. Under the guise of taking our friend Becca on her first winter hike, we set off on a cold November morning. We enjoyed the gorgeous scenery and made our way to a frigid summit. Becca and Sam kept being weird about photos, but Steph was too cold to protest. They finally found the right lighting, Becca nodded at Sam, and he proposed! All of our adorable photos are by Becca, and Steph can't feel her hands. They hiked down a bit and Sam finally put a ring on it. We're still smiling about it!
