Things To Do

While we're so excited to share our day with you, if you'll be in Lafayette for multiple days we'd like to share a list of things we enjoy doing and food we enjoy eating around town!

Avery Island

32 Wisteria Road, Avery Island, LA 70513

If you're looking for a cool look at Cajun Country you can't get better than the place all of the tabasco is produced for the country. Avery Island has tours of the Tabasco factory and beautiful grounds you can walk around.

Lake Martin, Louisiana

LA 70517

Lake Martin is a great place to go for swamp tours and to see Louisiana's nature. You're almost guaranteed to see many alligators!

Vermilionville Historic Village

300 Fisher Road, Lafayette, LA 70508

Visit Vermillionville to see what traditional Cajun living looks like. Reenactors show daily life and and you can see the architecture and houses that were the norm here for a hundred years.

Borden's Ice Cream Shoppe

1103 Jefferson Street, Lafayette, LA 70501

We went here for our first date, every year for our anniversary, and we got engaged here! It's the cutest old time ice cream shop and our favorite ice cream in town!

Parish Biscuit Company

1120 Coolidge Street, Lafayette, LA 70503

One of Maillie's favorite breakfast spots! She recommends the Southern Tradition and David recommends the Vermillion biscuit.

Deano's Pizza

2312 Kaliste Saloom Road, Lafayette, LA 70508

Our favorite pizza restaurant in town! We eat here with our families every time David comes home as a sendoff dinner before he goes back to school. David recommends the Ragin Cajun pizza.

Olde Tyme Grocery

218 West Saint Mary Boulevard, Lafayette, LA 70506

The best place in town to get a poboy. Bonus it's on the cheaper side too!

Parish Brewing Co.

229 Jared Drive, Broussard, LA 70518

For those that like to drink, a locally owned brewery.

T-Coon's Restaurant

1900 West Pinhook Road, Lafayette, LA 70508

David's favorite breakfast spot!
