Train
Alaska Railroad
The Alaska Railroad's Coastal Classic train departs at 6:45 AM and arrives in Seward around 11:20 AM. This 4.5 hour trip allows you to relax and enjoy the views along one of the most beautiful scenic byways. Please make sure that you coordinate your arrival and departure times (if flying) with the AKRR schedule.

OTHER modes of transportation
The Park Connection greyhound bus is very comfortable and affordable. Red Eye Rides also has convenient shuttles at various times either one-way or round trip between Anchorage and Seward. If you prefer to travel on your schedule check out TURO or the mainstream rental car companies and creative tourists have rented vans and trucks from U-Haul. Another option is to book a charter if you have a big group. Flight
Sun Country Airlines
Sun Country is a favorite for Midwesterners traveling to Alaska. As of Oct. 4th they didn't have their summer schedule up yet. Sun Country typically flies out of Minneapolis and may not fly daily to/from Alaska but their rates are usually less than Delta or United.
Rental Car
Hertz Car Rental - Seward
Hertz Seward is the only mainstream car rental location in Seward if you are coming in from the train or cruise ship terminal. This is peak tourist time in Seward and we recommend you make a reservation ASAP. Another option is TURO.
Flight
Major Airlines
Many major airlines fly to Anchorage including Delta, Alaska, United, and American. You may find it less expensive to fly one airline up and another back.
