Vamos a la playa!

Although Mai and Mike were friends for years, it wasn't until a bit of pressure from a colleague that Mike asked Mai on their first date. A sweet morning filled with coffee and pastries turned into a dive-bar happy hour complete with oysters and red beer. The two spent the entire day talking, laughing, and falling in love. It was the beginning of what the universe had been trying long and hard to make happen. One of Mai's first jobs was working at a local restaurant. Her favorite time of the night was visiting patrons at their tables to hand out fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies. During a conversation one evening, Mai and Mike were reminiscing over the fun of their first restaurant jobs and a spark hit him. "You were the cookie girl!" When Mike talks about his favorite years in education, he will always go back to his days as a high school coach. Coincidentally, Mai was completing her teaching internship at the same school. Although the two of them worked just hallways away from one another, it was years later before the lightbulb went off for Mai. Mai and Mike look forward to a lifetime of love with the person they've always known was out there, and are incredibly thankful that the universe finally found the right time.
