Matron of Honor
Natty. When you meet someone in the 4th grade, you don’t think about a lifelong friendship. I thank you for being my best friend for 25+ years. It sounds so trite but I have to say it – we have been through the good and bad of life together and come out stronger friends. I don’t just want you to be my friend – I need you to be my best friend. We may be getting too old for our tradition of drinking a bottle of red wine and then a bottle of white wine and then a bottle of blush wine, but I will always toast to amazing friendship that has weathered all storms. Here’s to you and me!
Sister of Honor
Since I was born in Hong Kong and it took a few days to get me home, I didn’t meet Lei until my third day on Earth. We bickered as all siblings do but always had a strong bond. Even though she tried to flush me down the toilet when we were kids (you know you did!), I could not ask for a better sister overall. When Luke and I first met, I told him that I’m “pretty close” with my sister – little did he know that meant 3-5 calls a day with her. Although we haven’t lived in the same city since she left Texas for college, we have always been a support system for each other. I like to say that a sibling is a best friend given by God. And, Lei earned the title of “Sister of Honor” since she essentially planned this whole wedding with minimal input from Luke and me!
Bridesmaid
Amber and I met in middle school, and she is the most loyal person I know. She gives me lots of unsolicited advice (love you, babe!) because she truly wants me to lead the best life I possibly can. Amber worries more about my safety and well-being than I do, and I love her for it.
Bridesmaid
Marcher and I have been friends since day 1 at Princeton. I literally never needed another friend in college because I had her. We always lived in the same dorm and had to join the same eating club. Freshman year roommates to being in each other’s weddings, we truly plan to be friends for life.
Bridesmaid
Sam and I met in the 6th grade. She was always a stable and calm force in my life. When we graduated from high school, we figured the distance between Princeton and John Hopkins was not too bad in terms of staying in touch. She kept me sane in Morocco when I couldn’t eat another bite of tanjine – and switched to an all “pomme frittes” and lemon Fanta diet.
Junior Bridesmaid
I am so excited to have you as a junior bridesmaid. Pop-pop, Gaga, Momo and I are so proud of you each and every day! I am so glad that we have shared so many great adventures together -- exploring fancy hotels and restaurants across the nation. You keep me cool and hip -- you have always understood the assignment ;) Best little peanut ever!
