FAQs

If you have any questions other than what is listed here, please reach out to our Wedding Planner Cheyenne Leeman at 860.431.2071.
Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

We'll be around all weekend leading up to the big day! See "Schedule" for all the wedding related activities and times. For the wedding itself, the ceremony starts at high tide- 5pm, so please arrive by 4:30pm to get settled.

Question

What do I wear? What does "beach cocktail" mean?

Answer

Gentlemen: suit if you're feeling real fancy or nice slacks and a blazer or shirt and tie. Ladies: cocktail/short dress or summer suit, and shoes you can walk on the beach in. We'll also have flip flops available for the ceremony on the beach. The reception is indoors.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your kids, we are having an adults-only wedding and are unable to accommodate children beyond our nieces and nephews in the wedding party. For out of town guests, please reach out to Bryanne if you need recommendations for childcare. Children are welcome throughout the beach weekend and at the Welcome Party. Please let Bryanne know in advance how many under the age of 21 will be joining for Welcome Party.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We will have a shuttle bus from the hotel to venue and back. The bus will depart the SpringHill Suites at 4:00 PM and 4:20 PM. The bus will then run shuttles from the venue back to hotel each hour, starting at 9:00 PM. If you are staying in the Residence Inn, the shuttle will pick up and drop off approx. 100 feet from the entrance. Please see hotel front desk if you need help.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Guests may park at the 5th Avenue field (across from the reception) or at First Ave and Milford Point Road (in between ceremony and reception). We will have signs out once you enter Laurel Beach. There is no parking at the ceremony location.

Question

Can I take pictures at the wedding?

Answer

We ask that you not take any pictures during the ceremony. We are having an unplugged ceremony and ask our guests to be fully present as we make this most serious commitment.

Question

What if it rains?

Answer

We'll melt. Or move the ceremony indoors into our reception space, depending on how bad it is. Do your sunshine dance between now and then please!

For all the days along the way
