Ryan and Stephanie were acquaintances for a few months before starting to date. Stephanie's long-time friend MJ, who she knew from Longview, was Ryan's roommate in Austin. MJ and Ryan were college friends in Florida. When Stephanie moved to Austin in January 2017, she reconnected with MJ, and thus met Ryan. They would hang out occasionally in groups together, but at a birthday party with friends in early June, the sparks started to fly. On June 13th, 2017 Ryan and Stephanie went on their first date, and have been together ever since.
