We met in 2020 when Jason had just started a master’s program and Sydney was in her senior year of college, both at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. What began as a few easy conversations and spontaneous dates quickly turned into something more. Jason finally made things official…and then got a job offer he couldn't pass up in Massachusetts while Sydney already committed to law school in Minnesota. We decided to give long distance a try, and for nearly three years, we somehow made it work across time zones, busy schedules, and a huge lack of sleep. We flew between Minneapolis and Boston every other month while Jason pulled 12-hour night shifts and Sydney was a full-time law student. It wasn’t easy and we still don't know how we did it, but it was so worth it. In December 2023, Jason gave Sydney the best Christmas gift ever by telling her he accepted a job back in Minnesota. After the new year, Jason's dad graciously helped him move out of his Massachusetts apartment and drove 1,403 miles back to the Twin Cities. We then moved into our first apartment together in the North Loop of Minneapolis and have lived there since. In August 2025, Jason proposed to Sydney in the perfect way, which is another story in itself. From opening a cheap bottle of wine with a house key on our first date, to navigating years of long distance, to starting our life together, we can't wait to continue writing our story. We are so excited to celebrate the start of this next chapter with all of you!
