It's right across the street from the new University of Iowa School of Music building, and walking distance from some of the best restaurants, shops, and UI museums in town. Flight
Flying into Cedar Rapids (CID) is going to be your best bet for a nearby airport. It's only 30 minutes from downtown Iowa City, and the drive will take you by the fields of corn and beans we know you came to Iowa to see.
