We're getting married!

Maggie and Walter met in 2015 while working at the YMCA through mutual friends. At the time, it did not occur to either of them that they would end up being each other's best friend, confidant, backbone, & love of their lives. While working together, Maggie & Walter never shared anything more than a friendship. As a couple of years went by, they both went on separate paths to pursue their career goals. Maggie went on to nursing school where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing and Walter went on to UTSA to graduate with a B.S in mechanical engineering. Nearing the end of their degrees, Walter & Maggie reconnected through social media where Walter asked Maggie on date, but Maggie had respectfully declined. However, Walter continued to be persistent and eventually she said yes to a date to grab lunch. Their relationship slowly turned into more than a friendship through multiple dates with lots of laughs, smiles, & long conversations. On December 21st, 2019, Walter asked Maggie to be his girlfriend. Upon dropping Maggie off at home, little did he know that he would have to ask her father for the blessing in front of the whole family. What followed afterwards was a beautiful, God-centered relationship where they both discovered what unconditional love truly is. Through their abundant love for each other, the couple perceived a calling from the God to the sacrament of holy matrimony. Walter and Maggie give all the glory to God for the opportunity to grow in faith, hope, and love with Him, and each other everyday.

On December 20th 2021 just a day before Maggie and Walter's 2 year anniversary, Walter decided that he was going to propose to the love of his life. Walter had told Maggie that they were going to have a photoshoot at the Houston Aboreteum as a gift for their anniversary. What was supposed to be a simple photo session turned into one one of the most beautiful moments in the couples lives, as Walter got down on one knee and asked Maggie to be his forever. With tears of joy and a heavy heart, this was the easiest question Maggie has ever had to say yes to. The couple has since then been filled with lots of joy, happiness, excitement, and love as they embark on the journey to their forever. Words cannot describe the pure, genuine, and authentic love the couple has cultivated throughout their relationship. They cannot wait to have those whom they love most bear witness to their beautiful union as husband and wife.
