FAQs

If you have any questions other than those listed below, please text the Bride & Groom 360-903-three15nine.
Question

Wait... you're having a baby too?!

Answer

Yes! Two weeks after Taylor surprised Maggie with an engagement proposal, Maggie returned the favor with an even bigger surprise! The Baby T adventure begins this July, and they can’t wait to meet everyone in Yosemite.

Question

Why Yosemite?

Answer

Yosemite has always been special to Maggie’s family. From camping on the valley floor and climbing Half Dome to siblings getting lost and deciding which boulder would become their new home. It’s a place full of treasured memories shared with their dad before he passed away in 2010.

Question

Is this a Halloween party?

Answer

Not quite! We were hoping for an October wedding in Yosemite, and this date was the one that worked. Maggie’s love of Halloween may still shine through with a few fun tricks and treats at the reception—but no costumes required.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Dress code: semi-formal / cocktail attire. Elegant yet practical for Yosemite. Cocktail dresses or dressy outfits are welcome, along with suits or dress shirts and slacks. While the Reception is indoors, the Ceremony is outdoors so please plan for uneven ground and cooler evening temperatures.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In late October, Yosemite often has sunny days in the 70s and cooler evenings in the 40s. Layers are highly recommended.

Question

Will the Wedding be outdoors?

Answer

Our Ceremony will be held outdoors with the Reception to follow indoors at The Ahwahnee. During inclement weather, the Ceremony will take place in a covered, outdoor space.

Question

Answer

The Ceremony will begin at 4:00pm at The Ahwahnee. We recommend arriving by 3:30pm at the latest.

Question

How do I get there and where do I park?

Answer

The Ahwahnee is valet parking only. Please visit the Travel page for more information on parking options and directions.

Question

Do I need a park pass or entrance fee?

Answer

Yosemite's entrance fee for a private vehicle is $35, valid for seven days, covering everyone inside. For individuals on foot or bike (16+), the fee is $20. Fees are paid at park entrance tollbooths, and credit cards are accepted.
