It all started at a high school graduation party last year. For Maggie, it was the grad party of a close family friend; for Paul, it was his cousin's grad party. As Maggie sat down, Paul came to the table; he was wearing a Specialized bike hat, which is the brand of bike that Maggie and her parents ride. After getting into a conversation about biking, Paul mentioned that he would love to show Maggie and her family around the Minneapolis bike trails sometime soon. The Weisses left; Maggie didn't think much of this until later when Paul messaged her. After getting into a long conversation, Maggie eventually took Paul up on his offer to show her around the city bike trails. They went on that date, and the rest is history.
Maggie and Paul have gone on a lot of adventures this past year. Although they have loved them all, one of the most special ones was a picnic about a mile down from Gooseberry Falls. They had often talked about going back there to visit sometime, but hadn't actually made it that far. Fast forward to the day of April 27th. After a great morning of driving, getting a Toby's caramel roll and exploring the North Shore, Paul took Maggie back to Gooseberry Falls. They went down the falls, along the path that leads to the little beach where they had the special picnic on the first trip. When they reached the beach, Paul and Maggie sat down and began to chat... And then, it happened! Paul stood up, set up his camera and asked Maggie to stand up. Paul got down one on knee and proposed! And Maggie said yes! We are very excited to share our upcoming wedding day with you!
