Maid of Honor
Maggie and Gloria met because Gloria was friends with one of Maggie's roommates. They spent the year hanging out at the legendary parties that Maggie and her roommates would have as well as around the house when Gloria would come over. The summer after they met, Maggie and Gloria went to Anna's birthday party together and Maggie poured out her heart and soul to Gloria in the hallway of Anna's college apartment. It was the first time that Maggie had ever felt completely accepted for every single part of herself. Their friendship continued to deepen as their time in College Station went on, and when Gloria moved back to her hometown it was conveniently right down the road from Maggie's parents! Mexico may have taken Gloria further away now, but their friendship is still the strongest, best, most beautiful friendship to exist! :)
Bridesmaid
Lauren and Maggie signed a lease together before they ever met (thanks Truely hehe). They connected right away based on their mutual love of music and Maggie's dog, Mazie. Over the year they lived together, they would often sit across from each other on the kitchen counters and have deep theological and philosophical conversations about how to be a good human and the way our brains work and the proper way to do a tequila shot. Though Lauren moved away after that one year of being roommates, the friendship they formed within the walls of 510 Olive Street was unshakable. Lauren understands Maggie's heart in such a special and particular way and has been one of the greatest unexpected gifts that Maggie has ever received.

Technically, Anna lived with Maggie (and Lauren) for one week while she was between leases because she knew another roommate of theirs's! After that, she got an invite to all of the amazing parties and Maggie quickly realized that Anna was by far one of the most hilarious and fun people that Maggie would ever meet. They made plenty of fun memories that year but it was during the following few years, when Maggie and Anna were both still living in College Station that their friendship really deepened. After Anna gave birth to Gianna, Maggie would go over some evenings just to sit and talk. Those nights will forever be some of the best nights of Maggie's life. Anna is the most intentional friend that Maggie has ever had and her heart is evident in every interaction she has. Plus, it is so fun being Swifties together!
Bridesmaid
Lily is Maggie's little sister, and therefore, her lifelong best friend. Their friendship started with silly conversations in their shared childhood bedroom when they were supposed to be sleeping, grew into countless games of Barbies and dolls, and has continued with endless movie nights, selfies, and flower picking adventures! Growing up alongside Lily has been one of the best parts of Maggie's life. Lily has taught her to stand up for what she believes in and to never pass up an opportunity to make someone laugh. Lily's devotion to everything is so inspiring, and Maggie definitely recognizes what an honor it is to be one of the things that Lily is devoted to!
Bridesmaid
Maggie and Mykk met in the dressing room in high school theatre, when they were cast as Christmas Carolers when Maggie was a sophomore and Mykk was a freshman. They originally connected over realizing that they attended the same church classes, but their true bonding happened when they lay on the floor of the theatre foyer for all of rehearsal and shared their woes over two boys with the same name! It was that night that they became bonded for life. Mykkaela has been there for every big moment in Maggie's life, she has supported her through heartbreak and celebrated her wins. She has been the one constant when everything else is always changing, and Maggie couldn't imagine her wedding without Mykkaela.
Bridesmaid
Claire and Maggie met when Claire was still a junior in high school. They’ve spent many holiday dinners together and family vacations, but mostly Claire and Maggie have always bonded over their love of all things pretty, vintage, and crafty! When it came time to choose bridesmaids, Maggie couldn't imagine not having Claire by her side. Maggie moving back to Wimberley has opened up so much more space for Claire and Maggie's friendship to blossom, and now it truly feels like a sisterhood!
Bridesman
Hunter and Maggie became friends in seventh grade and became best friends towards the end of that year when they had to dissect a frog together in science class. Maggie found Hunter at a time when she felt particularly alone after moving to Texas, and in many ways Hunter was her saving grace. In high school, since Maggie couldn't drive, Hunter would give her rides home from rehearsal every day and they would sing at the top of their lungs the whole way. They always planned to move to New York together one day to live out their Broadway dreams, and although that didn't pan out, Maggie enjoys living vicariously through Hunter and his New Yorker life. Next to Kush, Hunter is probably the best thing to ever happen to Maggie. Hunter is HER best man :)
Best Man
Kush met Sarthak Bhaiya when he was born haha. Like any other siblings they fought a lot as kids over things they can’t even remember now. But Kush is so glad and grateful to have him as a brother, he didn’t only excel in being a brother but also an amazing father figure for Kush. He is really excited for him to be here and experience Kush’s life here and enjoy with him! Kush can say with surity that he is gonna be a very important and active part of not just his, but also the Downing’s life!!
Groomsman
Kush met Rahul when they were 16, Rahul was new to his school. Though they had a few interactions in school fate brought them together again when both of them ended up in the same college. They had a bunch of fights but had even more fun moments with the college group together! Fate again brought them together when they both moved to the US for masters.
Groomsman
Kush and Glen went to the same college but never knew each other until they both started their first job together. It was surprising to both of them how two people from entirely different corners of India, with such different cultures and even religious beliefs, connected so well—as if there were no differences at all. A friendship that began with being desk mates and having breakfast together in the office for just 1.5 months has, to everyone’s surprise (including theirs), lasted six years and has grown to the point that he’s now Kush's groomsman.
Groomsman
Sam was one of the first members of Maggie’s family that Kush met. Though Maggie always talks about him as her baby brother, Kush saw him as a confident young man, incredibly passionate about his music — so much so that it makes Kush want to start learning music himself. Over the years, Sam became the younger sibling Kush never had, giving him a chance to know what it feels like to be the older one.
Groomsman
Bryce was one of the first of Maggie’s friends that Kush met, and he instantly became a friend of his own. Kush and Bryce now bond over making fun of the Indian accent — which everyone can agree is not what Kush actually sounds like. Their relationship has grown over the years, and Kush always looks forward to being around Bryce. The fact that two adult men call each other ‘Kushie Tushie’ and ‘Brycie Poo’ says a lot about their friendship.
Flower Girl
Gianna is the daughter of Anna (and Luke) and Maggie was in the group chat that received updates when Anna went into labor! After Gianna was born, Maggie spent many nights hanging on the couch with her and her mom just watching her grow! It has been the greatest privilege to be her special Maggie and "Tush" :)
Flower Girl
Maggie has known Solei for her whole life and considers her to be like her littlest sister! Their dads are best friends and they have so many memories of holidays spent together, family vacations, and all of the sweet moments in between!
Ring Bearer
Josiah was born when Maggie was in high school and they have had an incredibly special bond ever since they met for the first time (even though Josiah was only a couple months old). Since that day, their bond has only grown. Even though Maggie is now in her late 20s, she would still choose to spend her New Years Eve curled up watching a movie with Josiah over absolutely anything else :)
Usher
Aaron and Maggie met on the day that The Taco Shop (the outreach ministry Maggie used to run) first opened. In fact, he was the first kid to ever walk through the doors. They began spending lots of time together, whether grabbing food, going to youth group, or just getting a ride home. One day, the other kids asked if Aaron was Maggie's son -- and from that day on, he was. Aaron means just as much to Maggie as any flesh and blood and it is an honor to have him as part of her and Kush's special day.
Usher/Something Blue
Maggie has also had the honor of knowing Isaiah for his whole life, being the first born child of her dad's best friend. She has watched him learn to walk, learn new instruments, and become his own person (which has been the most special part of all). As Maggie thought about what she wanted as her something blue, "Isaiah Blue Benavides" immediately came to mind!
