Maggie and Gunnar met in MBA school at Carlson. This was Maggie's last class in her program. Gunnar was about 50% through his program. They randomly sat next to each other (but one seat in between because this was 2022 and social distancing was still a thing). Maggie thought Gunnar was a hottie with a body and would make small talk and also was giving him lots of eye contact. Gunnar was not picking up on any signals (classic). After the class ended, Maggie sent Gunnar a LinkedIn request to connect (a last ditch attempt to get him to pick up on all of these signals). Gunnar accepted and then immediately messaged Maggie- asking her out to a coffee to "connect further". Maggie was 50/50 on whether it was a date or if he was looking for a job at Medtronic. The first hour of the date was a lot of chatting about classes in the MBA program and their jobs. Maggie was still desperately trying to decipher if this was a date or not. Finally, (finally!!) Gunnar asks Maggie why she isn't wearing her glasses. Maggie says she only needs them for really far, like the board in class. Gunnar drops the line "Oh you look really cute in your glasses". And BOOM now Maggie knows this is a date and is determined to secure date number 2. Gunnar goes on to talk about how he is passionate about cooking and uses an app that lets him select recipes and then it generates a grocery list for him. Maggie asks what meals he is making this week. Gunnar mentions that on Wednesday he is making tacos (Maggie's favorite meal) and she says "Ok great! I'll be over on Wednesday then for some tacos." Gunnar happily agreed and he has been cooking her dinner ever since :)
