How We Met

02.16.15

It took a lot of page turning in the diary to find the exact date we met. Just kidding we aren't nearly that romantic, and we've moved 4 times cumulatively since that day so those diaries would have been lost by now anyway. All jokes aside, we met at Insight Global, both of our first jobs after college. We were at a work hard, play hard recruiting firm, smiling and dialing too much, sleeping too little, and (though we didn't know it at the time, and wouldn't admit it for fear of getting fired) falling in love. Fast forward 4 years and here we are. Someone probably deserves a commission for this!!

The Proposal

06.14.19

There were two cats, a baseball hat, and something like 50 plants. It was sweet and casual and intimate and perfect. Emilio asked me to marry him in the living room of our apartment on a Friday morning. Our families came to town that evening to help us celebrate at a bar in our neighborhood. We can't wait for the the next chapter and look forward to celebrating with everyone. See you in the Rockies!

Redstone, Colorado

The story behind the venue

Colorado has always been special to me. Some of my greatest memories quite literally take place in trains, planes and automobiles heading west. Over the past few years, Emilio has grown to love it too. Colorado has something for everyone and we sincerely hope you will discover your own little piece of paradise when you join us for our celebration. The ceremony and reception will take place in a tiny village called Redstone, Colorado. Four hours west of Denver and nestled in a river valley at 7,200 feet, you'd probably drive right by it if you didn't know where to stop. Somehow the Father of the Bride found this place several years ago and has spent many summers, and a few cold winters here, ever since. He is one of the town's 92 residents. There is no cell phone service. We repeat.....there is no cell phone service! Originally built as a mining town in the late 19th century, the entire village of Redstone is on the National Registry of Historic Places. You can walk from The Redstone Inn on the south end of town, to the volunteer Fire Department on the north end of town, in about 15 minutes. There's a small convenience store, a few restaurants, a whole lot of charm and breathtaking views of Mount Sopris. We are so excited to share this amazing place, and most special time in our lives with everyone we love.
