Flight
The nearest airports are Pisa (60 mi), Florence (50mi), Perugia (95 mi), Bologna (105 mi), and Rome (167 mi). Of these, Pisa, Bologna, and Rome tend to be the cheapest airports to fly into. Flying out of Chicago will also be your cheapest option. Cincinnati also tends to be slightly cheaper than Indianapolis.
Rental Car
The villa is fairly remote, so we recommend hiring a car if possible. Radicondoli (the nearest town) is a 10 minute drive from the villa and Siena (the nearest city) is a 45 minute drive from the villa. A car would also be useful if you want to explore the many beautiful hilltop towns in the area. Limited parking will be available at the Villa so please try to coordinate with others if possible.
Train
Trains are a great way to get around Italy, though access is limited throughout the hilltop towns of Tuscany. The nearest train stations to Radicondoli are Poggibonsi and Siena, which are both over an hour away by bus. Follow this link to book train travel in Italy.
Travel Note
There are local buses that you can take from Poggibonsi and Siena to Radicondoli, and between most hilltop towns. However, make sure you confirm the timetable as they don't always run regularly.
Travel Note
We will share a number for a local taxi company nearer the date, if desired. Uber is also available in Italy in more populous areas so getting to the Villa may be feasible but please be mindful of other travel needs.
