It all began when a mutual friend invited us on a ski trip to Sunday River, Maine. We hit it off instantly, literally not even outside of Boston city limits before we were gossiping about the US women’s national soccer team. The rest of the weekend we spent nearly attached at the hip, and doing our best to subtly sit next to each other on every ski lift ride. The 3 hour drive back to Boston just the two of us really solidified the brewing crush. Though Maggie wasn’t quite sure the feeling was mutual, as Courtney dealt out an extremely awkward high five upon dropping Maggie off at her apartment. A week later Maggie pressured Courtney into going out together, coincidentally on Valentine’s Day. Courtney wasn’t sure whether it was a date or not, and Maggie thought it was pretty obvious. The night was perfect and pretty quickly we both knew it was in fact a date. Four years later, Courtney proposed on a beach backpacking trip in Assateague Island, MD. She fumbled with the ring and started crying before she could even get the whole question out. It’s been over five years, a big move to Philly, a home purchase, miles of trails hiked, ski runs bombed, countries traveled, foodie meals consumed, arguments fought, and thousands (millions?) of hugs and kisses shared. Neither of us have ever smiled more, laughed harder, or loved more easily, than we have in the last five years. We could not be more excited to share our wedding weekend with all of you, in a super special place to us. Get ready to party!!
