Yulia and Maggie met in 2022 when they were both competing in the USOA Miss Maine pageant. Their friendship starting with Maggie cutting Yulia's son Andrew's hair and then an evening of binge watching both Top Gun movies. Even with the pageant being over, they stayed close friends.
