Boone and Maggie's story began, like many modern love stories, on a dating app — Hinge, to be exact. Their first date was far from typical. At the time, Maggie was working in news and was frantically running late (not atypical) after her 6PM liveshot ran long. They met for the first time in the driveway of Maggie's apartment in downtown Jacksonville, where Boone picked her up to take her on a "surprise" (thankfully she lived to tell the tale). Boone drove them to the Jags stadium, where they ended up scalping tickets for a Dierks Bentley concert. Now, Maggie isn’t exactly a fan of country music, and still isn’t, but she wasn't about to tell Boone that. That didn't really end up mattering, because in Maggie's words, she's wasn't paying that close of attention to the music anyway... A couple of months later, Maggie, never one to shy away from an adventure, asked Boone if he’d be up for a trip to Portugal. Boone, being Boone, said yes without hesitation. It was there, during their whirlwind trip, that he asked her to be his girlfriend. Fast forward five years: Boone and Maggie got engaged during their anniversary weekend in New York City. Three houses, two AirbnBs, two job changes, two adopted kitties, and countless trips and memories later, they’re excited to keep building their life together — with more adventures, and less country music (just kidding, they've gone to 8 more country concerts since then).
