Flight
There are a few options if you are flying: Albany International Airport is about 2 1/2 hours from Saranac Lake by car. A Trailways bus also leaves once a day in the late morning from Albany to Saranac Lake. Burlington International Airport is also about a 2 1/2-hour drive to Saranac Lake. However, please be aware that this route will require you to take a ferry across Lake Champlain and you will therefore be subject to the ferry timetable ( https://ferries.com/vt-ny-ferry-routes/grand-isle-vt-to-plattsburgh-ny/special-schedule-grand-isle-vt-plattsburgh-ny/) Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport is about 2 hours North of Loon Lake in Canada. If you're flying into Montreal please be prepared to cross the border! Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need guidance at any leg of your journey! We will do our best to connect guests traveling via similar routes and times!
Travel Note
There is a Trailways bus that leaves from NY Penn (with a switch in Albany) to Saranac Lake.
Train
There is an Amtrak train from NYC to Plattsburgh (about 45 minutes North of Loon Lake). There is a daily 7:15 AM train from NY Penn to Plattsburgh which arrives at 4PM. Please note that transportation will not be available from Plattsburgh to the wedding venue. We would not recommend that you stay in Plattsburgh unless you plan to drive to the wedding. Let us know if you require transportation from Plattsburgh to Saranac Lake and we will try to accommodate/ coordinate carpools.
Hotel
Transportation will be provided from the Hotel Saranac to the ceremony and reception location. This is a pricier option in a historic hotel.

A slightly cheaper hotel option in Saranac Lake. Transportation to the wedding venue will be provided.
House Or Rental
If you would like to rent a cabin or house for the weekend, we recommend going through Adirondack By Owner and trying to find a place on Loon Lake or close by. There are also a few limited options on Airbnb. There are more Airbnb options in Saranac Lake as well.
Travel Note
Driving Instructions from Saranac Lake Take Route 3 about 6.5 miles to Bloomingdale. At the intersection, you turn right (this will still be Route 3). Keep on Route 3 for about 9.3 miles. When you are close, you will see a sign that says “Merrill’s Corners” and then very quickly a sign for “Loon Lake.” Make left at the Loon Lake sign. You are now on Route 26. Take Route 26 about 3.3. miles. You will go up a hill and pass a little cluster of houses. Continue for a bit to where you see a dirt road intersecting on left (Garden Road). The next driveway is our house. It is marked with street number “3272” and there is a long driveway.
