Best Man
Though a few years younger than the groom, Jefferson is everything Harrison wants to be when he grows up. When they met in the summer of 2018 and Jefferson divulged that he nearly ran away to join the circus (AKA taking a lighting job with Cirque du Soleil) at age 18, Harrison knew he'd found a soul brother. Since then, Jefferson has racked up a list of noteworthy skills and achievements as long as your arm, but he comports himself with amazing humility and a servant's heart. Harrison has always been awed by his intentionality and – there's no better word for it – sheer competence in all areas of his life…not the least of which is being a true friend.
Matron of Honor
Lauren and Maggie go way back. Like, first-grade-story-time way back. To say they are best friends would be like saying ice cream is pleasant on a hot summer day: while true, it fails to fully encapsulate things. All through their formative years, Lauren and Maggie spent time in each other's homes, and Lauren even tagged along on trips to the Fortsons' lake house. In adulthood, their relationship only grew and deepened as they walked together through all of life's biggest moments. Maggie even stood as a bridesmaid in Lauren's wedding – so it seems only fitting that she return the favor! Lauren lives in Wheaton, IL where she and her husband Mike are renovating their first home and raising their insanely adorable son Will.
Groomsman
Jeff and Harrison first met on a Sunday at their church, but didn't really hit it off until they began to nerd out over musical theatre together. It was all downhill from there. But besides analyzing story structure and use of songs to advance plot, Jeff has become an amazing friend and brother to Harrison. They've shared burdens and anxieties, debated with and challenged one another, and developed a precious bond. On the side, Jeff is also the founder and owner of house record label Large Music.
Bridesmaid
From the beginning of their friendship, Maggie has always delighted in Marla's buoyant, loving personality and been impressed by her strength of character. Sure, she's optimistic, sweet, and compassionate – but don't sleep on this born-and-raised Chicagoan's passion and no-nonsense attitude. Whether she's tearing it up in the kitchen, connecting over matters of the heart, or tenderly encouraging and exhorting others, Marla brings joy and light to her loved ones.
Bridesmaid
Juliana and Maggie were in one another's orbits as far back as 2001, when they both attended Wheaton Christian Grammar School, and later Wheaton Academy. At the time they hardly knew each other and had little in common, and over a decade passed before they were eventually reintroduced as adults, after Harrison met Juliana and Jefferson in an intensive discipleship program. Since then, Maggie and Juliana have become fast friends that share the most important aspect of their lives – faith in Jesus. Juliana’s intentionality, dedication as a friend, and readiness to meet people where they are allowed Maggie to dive right into a deeper connection. Besides always showing up in moments of need, Juliana also frequently surprises Maggie with her goofiness and unexpected dance moves.
