Yes! Come what may, we're still getting married on October 17 in Chicago. For the health and safety of all, we are limiting our in-person guest list to our wedding party and select folks in Chicagoland, in compliance with local public health guidelines. For those we would have loved to celebrate with us under different circumstances, we will livestream our ceremony on YouTube so that you can participate in our wedding, albeit from the safety and comfort of your home. To access the livestream, go to https://youtu.be/oWlSn67I7Gs on the day of the wedding. We kindly ask you dial in a few minutes before 3:30 pm CDT so you don't miss any of the action!
In-person attendees are welcome to continue the celebration with us after the ceremony at Burning Bush Brewery, just a short drive from Lakeview SDA Church. Details can be found on the Schedule page of this website. Because of Chicago's capacity restrictions, we regret that we won't be able to accommodate guests at our reception beyond those physically attending the ceremony. We hope to celebrate with the rest of you in person when it becomes safer to do so!
In both our wedding planning and our daily lives, we have been taking every precaution to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, both for ourselves and for the communities we inhabit. To keep risk levels at our wedding as low as possible, we have a few requests of our guests. Starting 10/3, please: • Wear a mask every time you come in contact with someone you don't reside with • Practice social distancing at every opportunity • Wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your face • Stay home if you feel sick Lastly, please consider the following question whenever presented with a choice in the weeks leading up to the wedding: "If doing [insert activity here] is not necessary for the preservation of life, would I increase or decrease my likelihood of transmitting the virus by doing it?" If the answer is that it would likely increase the chance of transmission, then we implore you not to do it. If this request poses an issue for you, please reach out to Maggie and Harrison directly.
Obviously, circumstances require we deviate from standard wedding-planning protocol. Due to the evolving nature of the situation, we have only just recently sent out email invitations via Paperless Post. Please check your inbox and spam folder for yours!
