Getting There

We recommend flying into the Bend/Redmond Airport (RDM) for convenience. It’s about 25 minutes from the airport to downtown Bend. Rental cars are available at the airport. RDM is a smaller airport, which means most flights will require a brief layover.

If wanting to explore more of Oregon, flying into Portland (PDX) works, too! It’s a 3 hour trip from Portland to Bend. We suggest taking Hwy 26, which passes by Mount Hood (Sammy’s former stomping grounds). The drive takes you through several different landscapes, giving you an opportunity to enjoy many of the ecosystems in Oregon.

Travel from RDM to Bend

If arriving to RDM late at night, or early in the morning, we suggest scheduling a driving service before arriving. Ride share services are not always reliable at certain times in Bend.
