Deschutes River Trail
The Deschutes River Trail runs right through Bend! Most of the areas in town are paved for easy walks & bike rides.
Shevlin Park
Great for enjoying a peaceful scenic area without leaving town! This park is in the NW Crossing area. While you’re there, stop at Sparrow Bakery before or after for great coffee & baked goods!
Hiking
Driving west up SW Century Drive will take you to some beautiful sights! We highly encourage everyone to enjoy some of what the Deschutes National Forest has to offer. From alpine lakes to waterfalls, the magic of the Cascades is just a short drive from town. AllTrails.com is a good resource for finding a trail that fits your abilities, & distance preferences. Please hike with a buddy, bring plenty of water & a snack, & let someone know you will be in the mountains. We never foresee anything going wrong, but we want everyone to be prepared just in case.
