FAQs

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

By June 21, 2025. Please confirm, under the RSVP tab on the website, whether you (and you're invited +1) will be joining us.

Question

If my plus 1 cannot come last minute, can I bring another guest with me?

Answer

We kindly ask to only have directly invited guests join our celebration. Our wedding venue requires only approved guests so anyone not on that list cannot show up day off. Thanks for understanding! If you have any questions, reach out to Cory or Magali.

Question

Do I have to pay to enter the park on your wedding day?

Answer

Yes, every vehicle will be charged to go into the park. NO CASH. Currently the entrance fee is $35 to enter the park/car or you can use your America the Beautiful Annual Pass to go in if you have one (those are $80). We will work on carpooling to make this easier for everyone! Website: https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/fees.htm

Question

Do I need a reservation to get into the park on your wedding day?

Answer

No! With our special event permit, all guests enter the park with the wedding permit copy along with a copy of Cory and Magali’s IDs (these will get sent out to all guests closer to the wedding). However, if you are planning to visit the park any other day on your trip, you will need to pay for a reservation ($2/car). You’d also have to pay the entrance fee ($35/car) for any days you go in. You can find more information in the websites below: Yosemite park website: https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/reservations.htm Reservation website: https://www.recreation.gov/timed-entry/10086745 (you need to make an account) https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/fees.htm

Question

What time should I plan to leave my hotel/air bnb to arrive on time for the wedding?

Answer

Plan to arrive at the ceremony location by 8:45am (include parking time in that). Leaving from Oakhurst, CA, maps estimated it will take about 1.5-2 hours to arrive at Cathedral Beach Picnic Area. To be safe in case there any delays (traffic, entrance line to the park, accidentally getting lost, trouble finding parking), please plan to leave from Oakhurst by 6:45am at the latest. The park is big and it takes a while to get to our ceremony location.

Question

What is the parking situation at the ceremony inside Yosemite?

Answer

At the ceremony parking lot, we only have a reservation for 6 cars. More cars can come, however parking near the location is not guaranteed. We anticipate carpooling to the park will be the best idea. We will work on those arrangements closer to the wedding day. Please plan to carpool with others ensuring that your after plans align (staying in Yosemite vs leaving right after ceremony).

Question

What is the parking situation at the reception (air bnb)?

Answer

Our air bnb only has space for 7-8 cars at one time. If we have more than this amount, our remaining cars will have to park in the town center a few miles away. There is NO street parking as we are up in the hills. We will coordinate this arrangement closer to the wedding. As always, reach out to Cory or Magali if you have any questions.

Question

Who do I contact day of wedding if I have questions?

Answer

Magali will create a facebook messenger chat to include everyone’s contact information and arrangements for carpooling to the park very soon. Day of wedding: Please contact Emma first, Magali’s best friend before you contact Cory. If either of those people are unavailable, please call Magali’s Mom (English is her second language) or Magali’s Dad. This contact information will be provided to you in that messenger chat very soon.

Question

Is there cell phone service in the park?

Answer

Likely no. There are few areas in the park where you have service but plan to not have any. This is why we recommend carpooling to ensure everyone gets there smoothly :)
