Our Story

When I was in high school I had a dream we got married and 4 years later that dream came true

We met when we were in middle school at youth group, Luke was 14 and I was 12. I had a huge crush on Luke and when I was a sophomore in high school I had a dream that I married him (Luke designed my wedding ring based off of the ring in my dream). We were friends in middle school but best friends throughout high school and after many youth group trips we formed the strongest bond. When I was a senior in high school and Luke had just graduated, we both served on a middle school trip as leaders with our Church. On this trip, Luke and I realized what an amazing team we made. Serving with Luke on this trip helped me understand that if marriage was even just a tiny bit like what Luke and I had shared, then I wanted it. Luke was the first man to ever help me believe marriage was possible, and something I truly wanted. Throughout our time knowing each other I would often pray, asking God if I could tell Luke I had a crush on him. Time after time God answered with a "no." Little did I know Jesus had us set on a beautiful timeline to finally say "yes" when Luke came home on leave in June 2023. Shortly after, in September 2023, we started talking about getting married. Luke got me a "place holder" ring while we planned our future together! Then in February 2024, Luke flew home on leave to surprise me with a proposal. A quick three days later we eloped and got married! We will continue to grow as we go, knowing life is filled with lots of adventures to come. We are so excited for everything Jesus has planned for us, knowing full well without Him Luke and I wouldn't have the honor of being married. Jesus is gracefully written all over our love story. Who knew that a dream I had as a sophomore in high school about marrying Luke would become a reality just 4 years later.
