We have been called to marriage. Although this is a difficult time for all, our time has come to minister the sacrament of matrimony to each other. God’s time is perfect. This pandemic is not to be taken lightly. We are blessed to have family and friends that wish to witness God’s presence and love through us on our wedding day, whether it be in person or virtually. The mass will be live streamed. Please put your wellbeing first, in making the decision whether to attend or not, as we have put ours in not delaying our calling.

Luis and Mary met in the spring of 2013 in Gainesville Florida. They were both in college. Luis was attending Santa Fe College and Mary was an engineering student at the University of Florida. A mutual high school friend, Holbert, invited Vivi and Mary to the movies with a group of friends. Luis was also part of that group. Luis and Mary immediately hit it off. They developed that connection into a beautiful friendship. In a short time, Luis and Mary became best friends. They hung out almost every day. Luis finally wooed Mary into being his girlfriend on October 2013

In November 2014 Luis got accepted to the prestigious Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA. Mary was still working towards her Bachelor’s in Gainesville, FL. Mary graduated in The fall of 2015 and found a job in Live Oak, FL. Luis graduated in December 2017 and found a job in Newnan, GA. Being long distance has been a very hard on them, but love has gotten them through it all. They have waited long enough. They can not wait to celebrate their wedding!

SeaWorld has always been very special to them. Its a place that speaks directly to their gentle souls. Luis surprised Mary with annual passes and a trip to SeaWorld for the Killer Whale up-close tour. Luis bent down while Mary was distracted with a killer whale trick. It was very romantic and fun! Luis could not have chosen a better place to do the proposal.

Luis and Mary celebrated their civil wedding on September the 4th. The extended family joined in a zoom celebration. Mary's work mom, Tilda, was the notary who officiated and legally married them. Luis’ mom and Mary’s mom decorated the house and prepared an awesome pork loin which they enjoyed eating after the ceremony. After the ceremony Luis and Mary, being the big Disney fans they are, changed into their pajamas and watched the new Mulan live action movie on Disney+ with the whole family.
