Getting In

Barcelona is served by one main airport, Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN), located approximately 15 km from the city center. Taxis are readily available 24/7 outside each terminal, and public transportation options—including city buses and the Aerobús—run frequently between the airport and downtown Barcelona. Trains and metro lines also connect the airport to the city center. In addition, several private transfer services operate at El Prat, offering reliable and comfortable transportation. For getting around the city, we recommend using the public metro or downloading Cabify or FreeNow to book taxis. While Uber does operate in Spain, these apps are more commonly used in Barcelona.

WHERE TO STAY

Barcelona offers a wide range of accommodations, from charming boutique hotels to Airbnb options throughout the city. We’ve listed a few hotel recommendations below—places we’ve personally stayed and loved. Our favorite neighborhoods are the Gothic Quarter and El Born for their historic charm, walkability, and incredible food and nightlife. Eixample is another great option for its central location, beautiful architecture, and ease of getting around the city, while Gràcia offers a quieter, village-like feel with lovely plazas, cafes, and local character. You also can’t go wrong staying near La Sagrada Familia, Parc de la Ciutadella, or close to the beach, depending on the experience you’re looking for. The bride and groom will be staying at H10 Cubik from September 23–26, and would love to see friends nearby—but anywhere in the city makes for a wonderful stay.
