Welcome Party - In Porto, there are plenty of Airbnb and hotel options. We suggest staying close by the Douro River either in Porto or Vila Nova de Gaia. This way it is easy to walk to any destination. Wedding - In Braga, there are plenty of Hotels and Airbnbs in Braga, Geres, and Amares.

Transportation During the Trip

You can utilize Uber in all major cities. The most convenient is to rent a car, but there are many options like trains and buses as well. To get from Porto to Braga renting a car may be the easiest option.

Will there be transportation to the wedding?
Answer
Our plan is to hopefully provide transportation to those who aren't staying at the venue to the center of Braga in an easy pick up/drop off location. This will be provided before and after the wedding once we have a better idea of where people are staying.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The wedding will be taking place both indoors and outdoors. July in Portugal is similar to the weather in the US.

Where do we fly into? How do we get around?
Answer
The most convenient airport to fly into for both the Welcome Party and Wedding is the Porto Airport. Downtown Porto is 30 minutes by Train and easy to navigate. Driving or taking an uber from the airport to downtown will take about 20 minutes. The Porto Airport is an hour from the wedding venue by car. A train or bus is also an option to get to Braga. If you plan on flying into Lisbon, the airport is 2.5 - 3 hours south of Porto.

Should we rent a car?
Answer
Renting a car is most likely the easiest option to get around especially to and from Braga. Porto it is harder to park but easier to get from the airport to downtown by train or uber. Uber is available in both Porto and Braga.

The Farewell Brunch
Answer
The Farewell Brunch is taking place at the same location as the wedding the next morning. There is plenty of parking for those not staying at the venue and would like to join us at the brunch. We would love for everyone to be there and recap the wonderful night we had before. If you do not plan on joining the morning after, please let us know so the venue can set up the brunch for the correct amount of people.
