Boat Cocktail Attire
Our wedding week will begin with a welcome cocktail cruise aboard a traditional Rabelo boat on the Douro River. Rabelo boats are historic wooden vessels once used to transport barrels of Port wine from the vineyards of the Douro Valley to the wine cellars in Porto. Today, they remain an iconic symbol of the city and its rich maritime history. During the evening, we’ll cruise along the Douro River, enjoying beautiful views of Porto and its famous bridges. Snacks and drinks will be served as guests relax, mingle, and take in the scenery while the boat gently sails along the river. It’s the perfect way to kick off the celebration and welcome everyone to Portugal!

Formal Attire
Our wedding celebration will take place at the Pousada Mosteiro de Amares, a beautifully restored 12th-century monastery nestled in the lush Minho countryside of northern Portugal. Originally founded in 1148 as a Cistercian monastery, the historic stone complex was thoughtfully restored centuries later and transformed into the elegant Pousada it is today, blending rich history with timeless beauty. The ceremony begins at 5:00 PM and will be followed by cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing into the night. Prepare yourselves -we plan to keep the celebration going until 3:00 AM!
