Dear family and friends, We have come to a difficult decision of delaying our wedding to a future date (December 6th 2020) in light of the recent corona virus situation: + In the US, there has been delay in testing, and now not enough tests are going around. Therefore there must be many cases undetected in the community. California has seen many cases of community transmission. + Furthermore, 70% of our guests are flying from outside of California (among which are 10 international guests from 5 countries) We do not want to put you all at risk, especially some of you who regularly interact with children and the elderly, and some of you who are in the older age group. We are in the process of working with our vendors to finalize the transfer of service but as of now, the tentative date is December 6th, 2020. We will send out another save the date when we have everything finalized. We sincerely apologize for all the inconvenience that the postponement of the wedding will cause to all of our out of town guests. If you booked a room with our hotel block, please give the hotel a call to cancel - all rooms have free cancellation until 3 days before arrival, but the sooner you do it, the better. Many airlines have loosened their canceling policy (Southwest, Delta, American Airlines, etc.). Since your flight is to California (a high risk location), they will most likely either give you a refund or let your book the same flight at no extra cost in the future (eg: Delta). For now, please take care and stay safe! And please don't hesitate to send us a message if you have any concerns. Very best, Madison and Annie
After my mom and high school best friend pestered me to go on dating apps for a long time, I finally decided to give Coffee Meets Bagel a chance. While Madison was not the first "bagel" I talked to, he was the first one I met. On our first date, we barhopped from Sauf Haus to St. Arnolds, where he teased me for my asian glow after only one cider. I soon had to rush to my Beyonce dance class, leaving him with an awkward side hug at Dupont Circle Metro. I told my roommate later that night I probably was too tipsy and silly, but to my surprise, he soon (3 day rule applied) texted me asking if I want to go on a hike with him. And the adventure began...
We decided to celebrate my 26th birthday with a trip to Iceland. On a crisp winter morning, on our drive along the southern coast, we stopped by Skogafoss (where they filmed the first episode of the last season of GOT, FYI for fellow GOT fans). It was so early that the sun barely even rose, and no one was there except for us and one other couple. Madison started flying his drone and asked me to fly it. When I turned around, he was on his knee, with his silly, childlike smile that I have fallen for over and over gain, asking me to marry him. I said "YES", and we were engaged! We are so excited to celebrate the next chapter of our lives with you. See you in California! Much Love, Madison and Annie.
